IT girl of the moment: Alice Dellal
Alice Dellal is the sister of shoe designer Charlotte Dellal and daughter of Brazilian model Andrea Dellal. She has been well-known for a while on the London social scene, and she has been increasingly noticed by the fashion world for her eccentric, punk style and half shaved head. She's recently made a name for herself as a model, as she has worked with Vivienne Westwood, PussyGlamore lingerie, and Mario Testino. Although, I'm often weary of overly exalted it girls (peaches geldof, cory kennedy), I think she has a far more unique look and seems to be largely more authentic than her contemporaries.

Alexander Wang resort 2009
Anna Sui imitates Anna Sui
Anna Sui's recent resort 2009 collection looked more like the accussed, plagiarized Anna Sui pieces by forever21, than the typical Anna Sui show. The collection looked cheap and generic, both in prints and in shape. You could easily find a near replica of these garments at any trendy chain store, but I'm sure the pieces will sell fast regardless of their grossly overpriced sales tag.

Headlights play surprise show at the end!
Headlights, who have been touring with Mates of State, played a last minute show at The End last night. The Winston Jazz Routine opened for the Headlights, playing soft and melodic music. Apparently they wanted a chance to play their own show on Mates of States night off. They played music that was great to dance to- check out more from Headlights here!

Topshop US
The time is nearing! The date for the opening of the first US topshop has been announced. The British shop will open its flagship store in mid-October. The location of the store will be the tourist haven that is Broadway in NYC. Topshop promises its US store will continue the tradition of topshop designs being distinctly British. The NYC store will be identical to it's sister store in London. The store will be comprised of four floors, including a shoe lounge, VIP suite, and dj booth.
My only first-hand experience with topshop was when I went to their stores in Dubai last summer. The stores in Dubai were lackluster in comparison to the coverage I've seen of the London stores. The only memorable pieces were from the first Kate Moss collection, which at that point I had exhaustated my funds and were unable to purchase. So I'm excited about the NYC store, it sounds identical to the British stores.
