Carine Roitfeld is certainly one of my favorite fashion editors in the world. This picture makes me love her even more. I can't picture Anna Wintour ever willing to stop and take a picture with a fan.

I think if a female approached La Wintour for a picture she would give that contemptuous but indifferent "i'd-rather-eat-a-carb-than-look-at-this-amateur" look she does so well (during a lot of the italian shows). Then she would just walk away. If it was a man maybe she would speak to them, if she knew that they weren't a reporter. Someone should test this theory. Anyway you're right, Roitfeld is more relatable. Also her broken english is so cute.
PS: remind me to tell you of the time I emailed Bee Shaffer.
